The Easiest Habits to Lose Weight Fast

You may not believe that losing weight is easier than it is, but making the smallest changes to your diet and lifestyle can have you shedding off the weight faster than what you could have ever thought to be possible.

While we may not all be morning people, it is the first place where you want to switch up your habits to lose weight fast.

Switch Up Your Mornings and Drinks

One of the first things that you can do that will allow those pounds to start dropping off is to stop drinking coffee and other caffeinated products.

How will you ever survive a morning without a coffee?

It can absolutely be done because there are plenty of healthy alternatives that can make the transition and mornings much more bearable. That’s also not to mention that many of my clients lose 5-10 pounds just from doing this alone…

We can’t all be morning people, right? Well, you certainly will be when the scale starts reading smaller numbers as a result of your non-caffeinated morning.

Alternatives for Coffeelemon-warm-water

First thing in the morning, have a cup of hot water with a squeeze of lemon in it.  This will get your metabolism into high gear quickly.

Then, if you’re really missing your morning coffee, replace it with green tea or better yet, Oolong tea.  These 2 tasty options will give you the energy that you need while also helping to burn fat!

The rest of the day, you should be drinking only water, and lots of it.  Any sugary drinks, fruit juices, or sodas (yes, even diet) will only hurt your progress and increase your cravings.

When It Comes to Eating

Aside from those 2 habit changes to make in order to lose weight fast, there are some other changes that you can make within your eating habits. While eating every 3 hours may seem like you’re eating more, with proper portion control, doing so will keep your metabolism moving which helps eliminate cravings and any poor diet decisions that come when you are hungry.

When you are eating, remember to take your time…

Slow it down!

Whether you take a breath between every bite, or put your fork down with each – this simple change can promote your digestion, and weight loss as you will naturally eat less. It takes approximately 20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full. Eating slower allows your stomach to sync up with your brain, which will decrease the intake of unnecessary calories and fat storage.

Also remember that after your dinner, you should not eat again until the next morning for breakfast – break [the] fast [of overnight.]

Always use a Plate

Always eat your meals and snacks on a plate and never from packages. This will promote better portion control, and will also make it easier to follow the previous tip of slowing down when you eat. In addition, take your meal plates to a place to actually sit down and enjoy your food…

Standing and eating is not an option.

Doing these two things will discourage overeating, allowing you to eat reasonably and slowly, which helps your calorie intake and digestion.

You’ve heard it before, and I will preach it again – never shop hungry. Everything looks so much more delicious and excusable when you are starving. On the contrary, as long as you are eating every 3 hours, you should never go starving so shopping on a full stomach should be inevitable.
