Spice Your Way to Cancer Prevention

I’ve got the secret … and you won’t believe it.

SPICES.

It’s true. Spices can help prevent cancer.

It may sound crazy, but your spice cabinet may very well be your answer to getting healthy, losing weight and warding off cancer now and in your future.

But I’m not talking about regular table salt …

If you want the amazing benefits that I’m talking about, you’ll have to get a little more creative with your spices.

Here are the ones you should add to your spice rack … starting today.

Turmeric

Turmeric has long been known to help ward off cancer, as well as provide a whole slew of other health benefits.

This is because of a compound it contains called curcumin …

Curcumin has been shown to shut down blood supply to tumors, essentially forcing them to die off and disappear.

It also prevents Alzheimer’s, heart disease, osteoporosis and liver disease, and it decreases inflammation.

The best way to eat it? Mixed in with some warm almond milk and honey or on a spicy Indian dish like curry.

I like to add it to soups for a little extra kick.

Saffron

Another popular Middle Eastern spice, saffron has also been shown to have cancer-fighting properties.

Plus … it can even reduce depression and make you happier!  Who wouldn’t want that?

Cardamom

When tested on animals, cardamom didn’t just prevent cancer …

It actually slowed the development of it and killed cancer cells that already existed!

On top of this amazing find, studies have shown that cardamom can help with high blood pressure, too.

That’s a win-win in my book.

Chili Powder

According to recent studies, chili powder may help prevent cancer, too.

This is great news, since this absolutely one of my favorite spices!

You can use it to season your tacos or fajitas, or add it to a hearty stew for a warm winter meal.

A big bonus? Chili powder can also reduce inflammation and pain, improve your memory and treat colds, too.

Garlic

You know how you tear up when cutting garlic or onions?

This is because of a compound it contains called “organosulfur” ….

This compound boosts your immune system and, you got it, kills off cancer cells – especially the stomach kind.

You can get the same benefits for other allium veggies too … things like leeks, scallions and shallots.

Cumin

Another great seasoning to add to your next taco salad, cumin can actually stop tumor growth in its tracks.

It’s especially effective for lung cancer, though it benefits seem to work with any type of cancer cell.

An added benefit? Cumin also helps control blood sugar and can ward off diabetes.

Ginger

Anything with antioxidants or anti-inflammatory properties is a great cancer fighter…

And guess what?

Ginger is loaded with both of these!

Just grate some on top of your rice when it’s cooking, or mix some chopped ginger into your veggies. It’s great in tea, too!

Pepper

How often do you use pepper?

If you answered “not very often,” it’s time to make a change.

You see, black pepper is a strong antioxidant, and a recent University of Michigan study showed it actually stops the growth of breast cancer cells.

Plus … if you combine it with turmeric … it’s even more effective, increasing your body’s absorption of turmeric by 2000 percent!

Cayenne

Black pepper isn’t the only pepper worth talking about …

Cayenne pepper can help fight cancer, too!

With huge antioxidant properties, cayenne has been shown to actually stop the growth of prostate cancer cells … and kill them off completely!

Plus, cayenne is a great way to add a kick to any meal. Sprinkle some in your oolong and lemon tea, add some to your chili or stew, and just marinade your chicken in it to add some flavor and incredible benefits.

Oregano

Oregano …. A disinfectant?

It sounds weird, but it’s true. Oregano actually has disinfectant properties …

And it’s these properties that help stop cancer cells from spreading throughout the body!

Oregano can also make meats healthier, stopping them from creating dangerous cancer-causing chemicals called HCAs when cooked.

Basil

Big in Italian and Asian foods … basil is known to have some huge health benefits.

It fights off bacteria and viruses, AND it has anti-cancer properties.

It’s particularly helpful in treating breast cancer and skin cancer, and slowing tumor growth of any kind.

Curry powder

A mixture of power herbs like pepper, turmeric, cumin, coriander and fenugreek, you’ll find few spice blends as good at fight cancer as this one!

You can add it to just about anything for an extra dash of flavor …
