The Top Ten Reasons You’re Not Losing Weight… And How To Fix It! (Part 2)


Welcome back!

In our last article, we talked about five of the most common reasons people struggle to lose weight.

And judging from the feedback I’ve received, many of you are already on your way to making those changes and finally getting the results you deserve.

But I’m not stopping there…

I want you to be able to drop all those extra pounds and inches. So today, I’m going to clear up five more mistakes that can keep you from doing so.

Let’s get into the rest of the reasons you may be struggling to lose weight…

Mistake #6: You Aren’t Active Enough

Our bodies are designed to move. We’re meant to be active, not cooped up at a desk or in front of a television. So when we stray from the way our bodies are supposed to work, we find ourselves gaining weight.

By staying active each day… getting daily exercise in… we keep our metabolism stimulated and are able to burn more fat.

So make sure you’re moving. I understand it can be hard to get to the gym when you’re busy, but if you want to lose weight and look great, you have to make it a priority. It doesn’t have to take all day. A good hard 30 minute workout will go a long way in delivering the results you want. The key is to be consistent.

Mistake #7: You Eat Too Many Low-Fat Foods

This mistake is extremely common.

Many people think that if you just get the “low-fat” version of your favorite foods, you can still enjoy them while cutting calories.

Well, here’s the problem…

Just because these foods are low in fat doesn’t mean they’re healthy. Low-fat foods are often lacking in nutritional value.

And while they can they still taste good, that taste comes at a price. The fat is often replaced with sugars and other chemicals that cause a bulging waistline.

Plus, since these “light” foods aren’t as filling as the full-fat versions, you tend to over-eat them as well.

So it’s a good idea to avoid these low-fat foods. Stick to nutritious whole foods.

Mistake #8: Your Plates Are Too Big

Here’s a little trick about how our minds work…

When we fill our plates with food, it’s our natural tendency to want to finish that entire plate.

Our minds relate an empty plate with feeling satisfied and full.

But here’s the problem… when we use big dinner plates, that means we have to consume a ton of calories in order to get that full feeling.

Luckily, there’s a simple solution.

Use smaller plates!

It’s a way to trick your mind into feeling satisfied from less food. And it’s scientifically proven to work.

Mistake #9: You’re Too Stressed!worried

We live in a fast-paced, high-stress world.

And this stress is wreaking havoc on our bodies.

When your stress levels are too high, your body produces a hormone called cortisol, which causes you to store belly fat.

It also causes your appetite to skyrocket, which is why you may find yourself wanting to binge on junk food during the stressful times.

But while I know it’s easier said than done, you have to take time each day to relax. This is why it’s so important to exercise. Just put on your headphones, find
some good music, and work out that tension.

Mistake #10: You Aren’t Using A Food Journal

One of the most effective ways to lose weight is also the most simple.

All you have to do is use a food journal to record everything you eat and drink throughout the day.

Sound silly?

Well… studies have shown that those who use a food journal… lose twice the amount of fat!

The reason it’s so effective is because it forces you to hold yourself accountable.

It tracks all those extra calories you consume during the day without thinking about it. The candy bar at work… the piece of cake at your daughter’s friend’s birthday party, etc… These things all add up. So when weight loss stalls, all you have to do is look at your food journal to understand why.

There you have it…

Ten major mistakes that stop people from losing weight.

The good news is… they’re easy to correct.  And now that you know what they are, you owe it to yourself to do the right things.
