Is Losing Weight As Easy As Closing Your Mouth?

Close Your Mouth

The other day, I was at the gym…

I had just finished an intense workout session and was on my way out the door.

But as I walked by the juice bar, I couldn’t help but overhear a conversation two women were having with each other.

The conversation went something like this…

Woman #1: “Oh my god, you look so good. What have you been doing with your diet?”

Woman #2: “Well actually, I’ve been keeping things simple. I’ve been having a really light breakfast. Then I usually skip lunch. And then just eat whatever I want for dinner.”

Woman #1: “Really? That’s all you do?”

Woman #2: “Yeah. I found that the best way to lose weight is to just eat less. Just keep your mouth closed.”

I was shocked at what I was hearing.

The method this woman was describing never worked for me!

I’ve been there… done that… and struggled with my weight for years because of it.

So I have to admit, curiosity got the best of me.

I just had to look up and see what this “expert” looked like…

And well, when I saw her, it all made sense.

Now, I don’t want to be mean. I don’t like to judge other people. I think it’s great whenever anyone tries to better themselves.

And I definitely know what it’s like to struggle with my weight.

Before I figured it all out and lost 55 pounds in 90 days, I struggled for years.

But anyway, back to the story…

This woman who was giving out the advice was definitely “a big girl.”

And as long as she stuck to this bad advice she was giving out, she’s going to have a hard time changing that.

Because losing weight isn’t just about eating less. It isn’t just about “closing your mouth.”

It’s about eating healthy. It’s about making the right lifestyle choices. It’s about giving your body the proper fuel it needs to charge up your metabolism and start burning fat.

That doesn’t come from eating less. It doesn’t come from “skipping lunch and eating whatever you want for dinner.”

It comes from practicing proper nutrition.

The fundamentals.

Like eating small meals throughout the day, giving your body a constant stream of nutrients.

Like eating protein and healthy fiber at every meal, which keeps you satisfied and prevents you from overeating… but without ever feeling deprived.

Like cutting out the processed garbage and focusing on eating good, whole foods.

These are the things that make a real difference.

These are the things that allow you to make a stunning transformation.

These are the things that allow you to lose all your unwanted pounds and inches… and keep them off for life.

So don’t deprive yourself of food. Just make smarter choices. Because those choices are what’s going to allow you to look and feel your best!
